Why We Have This Policy
Because we sell high-value hardware and accept cryptocurrency, our orders can attract attention from bad actors looking to launder funds or use stolen payment methods. This policy protects our legitimate customers, our business, and the integrity of the payment methods we accept.
When We May Require Verification
We may request identity verification on any order, but it’s most likely to be triggered by:
- Orders above a certain value threshold
- Orders paid in cryptocurrency, particularly larger amounts
- Multiple orders placed in a short period from the same customer or shipping address
- Orders flagged by our payment processor’s fraud detection
- Shipping and billing addresses that don’t match, or addresses in high-risk regions
- Any order that otherwise appears unusual or inconsistent with normal buying patterns
What We May Ask For
Depending on the situation, we may request:
- A government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, national ID)
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement) dated within the last 90 days
- For cryptocurrency payments, confirmation that the wallet used is your own
- For unusually large orders, a brief explanation of the source of funds
We only request what’s reasonably necessary to verify the order and will never ask for your full payment card number, crypto wallet private keys, or seed phrase. We will never ask for these, and you should treat any such request as fraudulent.
What Happens If Verification Is Requested
Your order will be held, and shipping delayed, until verification is completed. If we’re unable to verify your identity to our satisfaction, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund. We are not obligated to explain the specific reason an order was flagged, though we’ll always tell you that verification is required and what we need from you.
How We Handle Your Verification Documents
Documents submitted for verification are used solely for that purpose, reviewed by authorized staff, and stored securely in line with our Privacy Policy. We retain verification records only as long as necessary for compliance and fraud-prevention purposes, then securely delete them.
Sanctions Screening
We do not knowingly do business with individuals, entities, or countries subject to U.S. government sanctions or trade restrictions. Orders that trigger a sanctions match will be canceled and refunded, and we may be required to report certain attempted transactions to relevant authorities.
Reporting Obligations
If we identify activity that appears to be fraudulent, related to money laundering, or otherwise unlawful, we reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, and report the activity to relevant financial institutions or law enforcement authorities as required or permitted by law.
